Dollar Loan Center made their fifth annual donation of $10,000 to the Henderson Little League. The donation was presented at this year’s opening ceremony on March 13 at Morrell Park.
Dollar Loan Center has supported Henderson Little League the past four years and has already committed to supporting the league for three additional years. The CEO of Dollar Loan Center Chuck Brennan believes in this program and all of the good it does in the community and for the children.
“With Henderson Little League being the largest program in the city for youth baseball, I want to do my part in keeping it alive and successful. With over 35 teams, the league provides a constructive activity to hundreds of kids year after year. They learn life skills that they will carry with them forever,” Brennan said.
Players and their families came out for the evening to kick off the 2015 season! The night was full of activities including a speech from the Mayor of Henderson, Andy Hafen, team introductions, prize raffles and the first pitch of the season was thrown out. With over 470 players and over 100 coaches, it was a successful event to celebrate the start of the season.
“Chuck and Dollar Loan Center have made it possible for Henderson Little League to provide quality baseball training to over 2,000 local children in the past 5 years. His generosity has allowed us to continue moving forward in tough times to create a shining example for small town leagues everywhere,” said Henderson Little League Sponsorship Coordinator Michael LeFrancois.
